A celebration of all things western from the 1800's to the present.

Visiting the Spirit of the West Festival will allow you to travel back in time, be entertained, and shop from one of the many vendors during our three day event. There's plenty to do for everyone, so please come and join us.

The goal of the Spirit of the West Festival is to keep the history and spirit of the cowboys and old west alive. Whether you're attracted by the history of the west, western collectibles, an exhibitor, or the lore of the cowboy, there's something for everyone at the Spirit of the West Festival.

An aside: Recently I was trying to recollect how many years we have been making the trek to the Spirit of the West Festivals where ever they end up. The most recent festivals are now held in Beach, North Dakota, but I remember the 2009 festival held in Sioux Falls, SD as well. It was a disappointment when the 2010 was canceled. We go to the festival to enjoy the music and check out the western collectibles. We just bought a condo in a very contemporary building in NYC to use as a pied-a-terre for whenever we wanted to spend time there. My wife is throwing out her normal decorating book when it comes to furnishing the place and is opting to go full in selecting quite striking Italian contemporary furniture. We're headed to Philadelphia to the showroom of a store she found online that is an authorized dealer of the most respected Italian furniture designers and manufacturers available in the market today. Apparently they carry large collections of such Italian furniture manufacturers as Bonaldo, Cattelan Italia, Fiam Italia, Foscarini, Gamma Arredamenti, Pianca, Presotto Italia, Tonelli and Tonin Casa. I was concerned that none of our western collectibles or artwork would be compatible with the "look" my wife was creating. But she said that of course we would display some pieces of our huge western collection in the condo. I'm looking forward to our trip out west later this year. We will be at the next Spirit of the West Festival for sure.
